Vaccinating your child can be one of the most confusing and difficult decisions parents have to make. What is best for you, your baby, your family? Aside from all the media debates, what happens at your child's well visits is solely your responsibility. You must advocate for the health and wellness of your own child. As a postpartum professional it is my responsibility to advocate for your family as well. I do so by sharing my knowledge, education, and experiences on this very important topic.
As a Positive Postpartum client who is interested in this topic I will empower you by giving you the tools to make educated decisions. It's not about being pro- or anti-vaccine. It's about being pro-information and pro-choice. It is every parent’s right to choose whether to vaccinate themselves and their children or not. Either decision carries a responsibility to be informed around how to minimize risks of injury from the vaccine or the disease.
There are choices in both vaccination and non-vaccination where you can minimize health and injury risks associated with your decision. I share resources, checklists and evidence-based, balanced information on vaccinations. I speak with proactive parents on topics such as IMMUNOLOGY, CHILDHOOD VACCINATED DISEASES, RISKS & BENEFITS, PROS & CONS, OPTIONS, AND SOLUTIONS. These are very important to consider before abiding by the Center for Disease Control recommended schedule.

Most people vaccinate out of fear. People who don't vaccinate or do a delayed schedule, do so out of knowledge.
My mission as a postpartum professional is to increase health and comfort as you grow into parenthood, minimizing stress and maximizing joy. This includes discussing nitty-gritty topics like vaccination by advocating for the family's health and development. I think keeping this information to myself is being selfish and not serving the community to my fullest capacity. I feel called to inform parents and help them lead responsible decisions on vaccination. The health of our children and our families depends on me sharing and opening up my services around this very important topic! I don't offer medical advice, I offer education, support, and resources around this very important topic.
