Treat A Baby's Tummy Discomfort; Relief For Colic, Reflux, Diaper Rash, Eczema, Sleepless Nights

Updated: Jan 22

Does your baby struggle with any of the following: colic, reflux, diaper rash, eczema, and/or sleepless nights?

Have you considered it to be a digestive issue?

This is a common concern for my clients, who are newborn parenting, leaving them feeling helpless, exhausted, and stress, taking away from the joys of parenting a newborn baby.

Moms that are breastfeeding are told to try an elimination diet, which isn't always effective, parents try switching baby formulas, babies are being put on reflux medication, and still experiencing colic, diaper rash, eczema, and overall discomfort after feedings.

This can a tricky problem to solve. But rest assured, I'm writing to share that there's help from a probiotic that gets to the core of this issue, helping repair the babies' gut microbiome!

First, let's look at the importance of the gut microbiome...

As you may know, the microbiome lays a foundation for health and wellness over our entire life, but did you know that the microbiome consists of something like 1,000+ different species of bacteria with over 3 million genes? Our gut microbiome makes up the largest part of our human design.

What we may not understand is that the gut microbiome is largely maternal in origin.

So gut issues are linked to maternal health. The richness of a healthy gut depends on multiple factors:

- how the mother was born

- what type of microbial download she received from her mother, impacting the colonization of microbial diversity

- the mother's diet over her lifetime, especially during gestation and breastfeeding

- what the mother's lifestyle and diet consist of; organic food, water quality, overall digestive health

These factors affect what is passed on to her children forever impacting the gut microbiome. Furthermore, the following will impact a baby's gut specifically:

- how a mother gave birth; vaginally/cesarean

- birth interventions used, if any; pitocin, antibiotics, epidural,

- whether mother breastfeeds or not

- use of antibiotics during infancy

- whether she chooses to vaccinate herself and the baby or not

The modern-day issue is there has been an increase of extinction in beneficial mother line bacteria being passed on from generation to generation.

Some of the many things that disrupt gut health affecting children's health and future generations are:

- Disruptions in birth and breastfeeding

- Nutrition during gestation and breastfeeding

- Generational nutritional deficiencies

- Genetically modified organisms in food and water

- Standard American diet

Babies are here to heal and awaken us, so please know there is always room for repair - No one is at fault - but do take responsibility! We must work on repairing it!

When considering probiotics you must choose the right strain in order for them to work.

Introducing Evivo probiotics for babies:

Over the past 10 years, Evivo has been researching a specific strain in helping American babies.

Does your infant probiotic have activated B. infantis listed on the label?

A recent study of American babies states that 9 out of 10 babies are born with gut dysbiotic!

Meaning that children are missing out on a host of health benefits from a lack of proper microbes in the gut.

This is so important considering 70% of our immune system is in our gut!

Evivo, a Baby Probiotic, has a proven record of helping the infant's gut microbiome. I have been following their research and products for years with no affiliation to the products.

More From Evivo:

"Breast milk contains all the nutrients baby needs for growth and development in the first 6 months in life. However, a major portion of the nutrients in breast milk, Human Milk Oligosaccharides (HMOs), are indigestible by your baby without the help of B. infantis. New research published in Nutrients shows only Evivo's B. infantis EVC001 fully consumes HMOs. In fact, without B. infantis as much as 15% of the nutrients in your breast milk are wasted in your baby's diaper."

"Happy Baby, Happy Mom, Happy Life: In 2018, my husband and I were blessed with Baby Boy #1. At 2 weeks of age, we were wondering what we had done. He had reflux as well as horrible colic - up all night, gassy, crying in pain - in was horrible. His pediatrician had me doing a dairy-free diet and having him sleep on an incline but nothing seemed to help. Then my mom, who is a nurse for a different pediatrician, suggested that I try Evivo. Finally, he was sleeping and not as gassy. By 4 months of age, I was eating dairy again, and my baby boy was still happy. Amazing! This year, we were blessed with Baby Boy#2. You would think that I would have learned from my first experience, but I did not. At 4 weeks of age, we were once again experiencing colic and an unhappy baby. I mentally slapped myself and quickly ordered Evivo. Within a few days, he was less gassy, only having 1-2 dirty diapers a day (versus 7-8), and much, much happier. At 8 weeks, he is sleeping 10 hours at night and only waking up once to eat. You can be sure that if we are blessed with another member of our family, there will be a box of Evivo in the freezer awaiting the arrival of baby #3 because of Evivo = Happy Baby = Happy Mom = Happy Life!

Thank you Evivo."

I encourage you to look at this information further and give Evivo a try if your baby is struggling with any of the issues mentioned in this blog post.
